Composition of the Constitutional Court between independence and dependence

Résumé

This study focused on one of the most important reforms brought about by the Algerian constitutional amendment of 2020, according to which a constitutional court
was created as an independent constitutional institution in succession to the Constitutional
Council, tasked with ensuring respect for the constitution and controlling the functioning
of institutions and the activity of public authorities. On the organic side, within the framework of changing the features of its formation, as well as tightening the conditions
for membership in it to ensure its Independence.
