The manifestations of irony in the poetry of Raja Somrin

This study deals with the manifestations of irony in the poetry of Raja Somrin, one of the poets of the Palestinian resistance, whose poetry was mixed with irony in a deliberate way that the poet resorted to. To condemn and reject the Arab reality. The study reached a set of results, including that irony accompanied Raja Somrin's poetry, and enabled him to expose reality and criticize negative phenomena in all fields with the intention of treating them, among statements, allusions
and exposing to make his poetry appear more convincing and influential on the recipient in a
metaphorical, biased language through which he aims to fix the flaws to liberate his homeland
Palestine.The study used the descriptive analytical method as a procedural tool to reveal the irony in
Somrin's poetry, and its role in condemning reality and arousing anxiety by exaggerating the
situation and its atrocity.
