Parental abuse - theoretical and historical concepts

The concept of parental abuse has been brought to the attention of many researchers in the religious, medical, legal and educational fields because of its profound impact on
the child's personality, level of adjustment and psychological health. It is also a barrier to
building his or her personality in all its aspects, emotional, social, cognitive and physical.
Parental abuse of the child means any that he or she deliberately or inadvertently gives to him or her by his or her parents. Abuse is a modern social problem, with any child
suffering regardless of his or her social, economic or scientific class.
