Touristic websites localization: Terminological and cultural issues

We can all see on a daily basis that the importance of the Internet is growing.
Many sites dealing with specialized areas are interesting by terminology's point of view, but have not yet been the subject of a terminological stripping. Some areas, such as
tourism and cultural heritage, which deals with several practices such as online booking,
whose achievements are mostly electronic, can only be stripped down by using a battery of specialized tools. In the development of a lexicon for the field of "website localization", we have adapted traditional working methods in order to be able to recover
and exploit the data contained on the Web.
In this article, we will first present the peculiarities of the field of tourism as
corpus of the study and the methodology used to carry out our approach, and then we will analyze the impacts that such an approach, which is localization through a kind of translational practice unique by its processes and techniques, could have on the work of
terminologists and on tourist attraction.
