Common mistakes in academic research

Many dissertations miss the precise use of certain essentials like punctuation, form, footnotes etc., which increases the weakness of the dissertation, especially if it is full of linguistic and typing mistakes. Since the accuracy of the dissertations that are written in
Arabic, especially in the fields of language and literature, is an important requirement, it
seems necessary to care more about those elements. The reason lies first on the fact that they give kind of beauty to the writing form, and second, they maintain the identity of the
scientific research; as well as they help the reader to comprehend correclty. The use of punctuation marks, for example, can lead to the ebsence of confusion and clear the meanings in the readers’ minds; because comprehension often depends on them, and
shows the places where the vocal tone should be changed. It is often difficult for the student to accurately use these marks; therefore, this paper highlights the various elements in order to develop the scientific research and overcome some of its limitations.
