Our research has highlighted how Mohammed Dib constructs a poetics of instability in
the novel Habel. We sought to show how this narrative conveys the wavering of the world and of the subject in the face of violence, exile, and the fragmentation of meaning. We observed
that this instability, embedded in the complexity of the world, constitutes a vital and existential
dynamism. We demonstrated that it structures the narrative, syntax, and narrative figures, transforming disorder into a driving force for creation fostering an existential and spiritual
quest and offering both the character and the reader a renewed experience of meaning and
human consciousness .
