Abstract

The world is experiencing major transformations due to the vast developments in
technology, where the openness to the global economy and the facilitation of obtaining information has resulted the emergence of a market that promotes illegal copies, and that
affects negatively the right of industrial property, which necessitated the protection of scientific innovation related to industrial activity. Therefore, countries sought to consecrate this protection in their domestic law, convinced of its great importance in the
development of their economy.
This study is devoted to researching the administrative mechanisms that the Algerian legislation has devoted to protecting industrial property from counterfeiting,
with the aim of identifying the deficiencies revealed by practical practices. In fact,
Algeria is interested in dedicating this protection through monitoring specialized national
administrative bodies, represented by the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property and customs administration, but the activation of these devices needs to review
the relevant legislation.
